Elaine Clayton is a Harvard University trained negotiator and mediator with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and a 35 year background in customer service, most recently as a Real Estate Broker. Elaine began her real estate career as a licensed assistant in Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa where she assisted exclusively in the trade of high end residential homes. She then spent the next decade working on her own where she successfully listed and sold both residential and commercial property at a variety of price points. While a Broker in Ottawa, Elaine served on the OREB Professional Standards Committee and was heavily involved in the training of new agents within her brokerage. She also won the Coldwell Banker's President's Silver award in 2011. An opportunity with Sotheby's Canada took Elaine to Toronto where she was a Broker on the Harmony Village Sheppard by City Core Developments project targeted at seniors and baby boomers. At the same time she worked as the Canadian Liaison and Development Officer to Maya Developments attracting investors to a cutting-edge development in Placencia, Belize after viewing the property's inception while travelling there.  The Placencia Belize encompassed its' own privately owned international airport with 9,200- foot runway; a private island; the first of three distinctive hotels; an upcoming 18-Hole PGA quality golf course; a 293-slip superyacht Marina, a vibrant Marina Village featuring an elegant VIP casino, holistic spa & wellness center and state-of-the-art conference facilities and an eclectic array of stylish tropical residences.  Elaine's breadth of real estate experience speaks for itself making her a knowledgeable, confident and tireless advocate in any project she undertakes.

Elaine has come back to her home town in the Quinte area and has become an enthusiastic volunteer in the community in a very short period of time. Most notably she is a team leader for 100 Women Who Care Quinte, a driver for Operation Red Nose Quinte and a helper at a variety of music festivals in the area. While in Ottawa, she was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa for 8 years, participated in several Habitat for Humanity builds and volunteered with her school-aged son in the Christmas Dinner for the Homeless program for 9 years. When time permits, Elaine travels extensively, is involved in local theatre, attends rock concerts, participates in a number of sports and serves a mentor to teenagers and young adults.
